Creative Waco is seeking Texas based artists and artist teams to submit qualifications for a new artwork installation in the Waco Family Medicine Board Room.
The artwork will be installed behind the boardroom cabinetry alcove and will serve as a visual anchor for a space used for leadership, strategic planning, and mission driven decision making. The final work should feel inspiring, professional, and visually impactful, with a strong “wow” factor that reflects the dignity, complexity, and human centered reality of healthcare service.
Artists are encouraged to demonstrate experience creating large scale work that is appropriate for a high level meeting space. If invited into the paid RFP phase, finalists may be encouraged to explore themes of sustainability, community participation, shared civic identity, resilience, compassion, and the daily rhythm of Waco Family Medicine’s work.
Approaches may include upcycled materials, relief work, mixed media assemblage, collage, textile based installations, or other feasible high impact methods.
Up to three finalists will be invited to participate in a paid concept proposal phase. Finalists will each receive a $1,000 honorarium to develop a concept design and present it virtually to the selection panel. The selected artist or artist team will receive a $6,500 final design and fabrication fee.
