Visit our FAQsCorina’s work explores atmosphere, memory, and quiet moments of observation through watercolor. Her paintings often center on natural and everyday scenes—coastal landscapes, still lifes, and intimate interiors—rendered with a soft, expressive approach that prioritizes color harmony and mood over strict realism. Working primarily in watercolor on both canvas and Arches paper, she is drawn to the fluidity and unpredictability of the medium, allowing forms to emerge organically through layered washes and subtle shifts in tone. Her compositions balance structure and softness, often leaving space for ambiguity and interpretation. Originally from Europe and now based in Texas, her practice is shaped by movement across places and cultures, reflected in her sensitivity to light, texture, and atmosphere. She is currently developing a cohesive body of work while exploring opportunities to exhibit and share her paintings.

I’m a Texas-based photographer and the creative eye behind Shapiro + Co. My work began as a quiet appreciation for the beauty found in everyday moments—expansive landscapes, thoughtfully composed food, and the subtle presence of people within a space. What started as a personal creative outlet has grown into a developing body of work centered on observation, intention, and light. I’m drawn to scenes that feel both natural and composed—images that capture not just what a place looks like, but how it feels to be there. I find inspiration in travel, stillness, and the details often overlooked. My photography reflects a balance between simplicity and depth, with a focus on texture, tone, and atmosphere. Through my work, I aim to create images that feel timeless, understated, and quietly refined.

I’m a multidisciplinary artist who works with painting, drawing, and mixed media to explore emotion, identity, and the subconscious. My art mixes bold color, surreal imagery, and heavy texture because that’s the most honest way I know to communicate. A lot of my work comes from trying to make sense of what I feel—turning inner chaos into something visual. Through symbols like hearts, figures, creatures, and abstract landscapes, I build worlds that reflect my experiences and the emotions that shape me. Every piece is a part of me, raw and unfiltered.
Cultural Arts Waco is here to celebrate and promote the artistic and cultural life of our community, foster creative excellence, and highlight the economic, social, and educational benefits of the arts.
